Key Responsibilities

Account Direction

  • To be the primary day-to-day contact for clients and to drive client strategy ensuring the agency provides a lead role in communications planning
  • To drive business growth through existing clients and support new business leads generation, developing proactive action plans and product propositions continuously that takes into consideration market change dynamics across time
  • Direct team members to ensure appropriate campaigns & programs are executed appropriately
  • Keep abreast of internal and external factors that may impact the client’s business
  • Responsible to ensure client’s contractual obligations for media KPIs is met

Client Relationship

  • Develop a deep understanding of client’s business beyond media and has a clear understanding of business implications
  • To monitor clear and accurate budget & contract forecasting for all clients
  • To monitor and review the planning process and skills of planning team to ensure clients receive the best service
  • To monitor external environment and highlight to Business Director with the intention to inform the client of implications and possible action plan required
  • Organize annual / bi-annual / quarterly review of account and work with Business Director to implement outcomes
  • Organize client appraisal sessions and action plan that lead to implementation outcomes

New Business

  • Responsibility in helping to develop and present new business pitches with the Business Director

Personnel Management

  • Ensure that managers/assigned staff remain updated and competitive through relevant training and coaching Coordinate with Business Director on training programs needed by staff
  • Provide up-to-date assessment and recommendations of managers/assigned staff to Business Director / Management to ensure team overall performance, engagement, and health

Awards

  • Develop and live creativity in ensuring client solutions are award worthy
  • Play an active role in support of the Business Director in awards participation through case study development, submission, and presentation

Requirements:

  • Understands client’s requirements and develops a compelling vision which will form the basis of their overall communications plan
  • Skilled at developing and promoting a compelling communication strategy, media planning and business outcome driven proposition for and within their client’s brands and market
  • Strategic thinking and planning capability with proactive engagement with client beyond media, e.g. integrated communications planning (Brand, Creative, Media, PR, Experiential), e-commerce, data, digital etc
  • Account management skills, including the ability to upsell added-value solutions, develop new revenue streams
  • Partnering skills.  Able to work effectively with third parties, e.g. media partners, creative agencies, web development, activation / experiential agencies etc
  • Mentoring and training, managers / assigned planners to develop their skills in the planning area.
